His research focuses on steel and composite construction, stability, high‐strength steels, welding, building in existing structures, sustainable storey buildings, and tubular structures. He is a member of national and international technical and standardization committees for steel and engineering construction (DIN, CEN, DASt, DIBt, BASt, IIW, IABSE, ECCS, CEDICT) and author of numerous national and international publications and monographs. |

ppa. Dipl.-Ing. Martin Romberg
Dipl. Ing. Martin Romberg studied civil and structural engineering at Hanover University. His major projects are Rhine Bridge Leverkusen and Rhine bridge Duisburg-Neuenkamp in Germany, Pattullo Bridge in Canada and many more.
Ing. Romberg has extensive experience within bridge engineering from several bridge projects, including some of the large cable-stayed bridges. During his long term stays in Denmark and Scotland as well as several sites worldwide on behalf of LAP, he gained experience with working in collaboration with international contractors and consultants.
As a specialist, he has been responsible for the construction engineering of several major cable-stayed bridges. He acted as technical expert on two legal disputes in the United States. Since 2017 he is a corporate officer within Leonhardt, Andrä und Partner.
